Prototype

GOJEK PARKING CONCEPT

Next Work

Behind this project

This is the Design Challenge when I applied to a Product Design role in GOJEK. The goal is to make a prototype within 3 days, complete with wireframe and flowchart. Hence this project is heavy in the UI rather than research.

Objective

Re-imagine a parking reservation apps for special occasion. I chose to have new product called GO-PARK, integrate with GO-TIX (GOJEK event ticketing product)

Why only in special occasion?

  • Independent (no hardware needed, no API integration withvenue needed). To avoid dependancy, as not all venue has similar standard

  • All day reservation, for specified location, on special occasion. Easier to control as users have similar time to enter and leave the building, therefore there will be no overtime user

  • No park per hour fee included. Parking hourly fee is still charge by parking venue

Methods

User Interview

Flowchart

Wireframe Flow

UI and Prototype

1. User Interview

3 people (Male), who always use private car to go to event

Pain points

  • Traffic, they will go to the event 2-3 hours before it started

  • Searching the parking location, as there is no signage or parking number - Safety, if they force to park outside the venue

  • The parking is too far from the venue

  • The shuttle is too long to wait

Behavior

3 of 3 already familiar with the venue, they will bring car if the parking spaces at the venue is small, hence they will get a parking outside the venue (illegal) and it is safer using a car than a motorcycle

2. Interview Key Result

Connecting the dots using affinity diagram, sorted by the highest severity. The goal is to answer user pain point and convert the solution into design mandate. All these insights are used to shape the direction of the flow.

3. Flow Chart and Wireframe

There are 2 entry points to reserve parking spot; through GO-TIX and directly at GO-PARK. We can offer user to reserve a parking spot directly after he bought an event ticket, or notify him few days before the event started.

The general journey start from :

1. User bought ticket from GO-TIX and reserve parking spot,

2. Confirmation few days before D-day

3. The day of the event, how user find the parking spot

3.1. Reserve a parking spot

Reservation before the event started through GO-TIX, to ensure empty parking spot

User can choose to reserve parking (self-parking or valet), or scheduled a ride

User can access this page through his parking e-ticket. He can see the direction to valet spot where the staff will asked for his QR code, before driver parked his car.

User can know who's valeting his car, his car parked position, and he can also asked driver to bring his car when he want to go home.

Review is done separately to driver who parked his car and driver who bring his car.
